Public meeting will share progress and receive public input.

On October 24th, the Hon. Sylvia Jones, MPP will stop in at at the Alton Mill Arts Centre for a public meeting being held by the Alton Millpond Association to outline the progress that has been made on the Alton Millpond Rehabilitation project and obtain public input. The proposed project will achieve a variety of environmental, heritage, recreation, education, and artistic objectives.

MPP Sylvia Jones will formally present the Alton Millpond Association with a plaque to mark the work being done as a result of receiving a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation in 2017.

AMA President, Randy Ugolini, will outline the project objectives and history of the project leading to the completion of the master plan in 2015. The following members of the technical team will then present the technical findings to date and their engineering design implications, as well as the development of ideas for the Landscape Architectural and Art elements of the project: Bill Touzel, (TBSi – Project Manager), Tanya Brown and John Hillier, (DTAH – Landscape Architects), Bill Pechet (Pechet Studio – Public Artist/Art Consultant).
