S’mores Bar, Pumpkin Carving, & Live Music
CALEDON, ON, October 27, 2018 – Heatherea Farm Shoppe is teaming up with local charities to present HEATHERLEA HARVEST HAPPENINGS, taking place this year on Saturday, October 27th, from 1 pm to 4 pm at Heatherlea Farm Shoppe.
A full lineup of family fun is planned, including a pumpkin carving contest, pumpkin painting, and family activities. Cozy up around the fire for live music while toasting marshmallows and then build a tasty treat at our S’mores Bar. After enjoying the beautiful fall weather, step inside the shop to peruse local foods and sample tastings of some of Heatherlea’s autumn favourites.
“We are thrilled to be partnering with East Wellington Community Services and the Children’s Foundation for this event” said Pat McArthur, owner of Heatherlea Farm Shoppe. This is the second year that Heatherlea has partnered with these 2 charities to help provide meals and gifts to families in need in our community. Donations from Heatherlea Harvest Happenings will go directly to these local programs to support families this Christmas.
The Adopt-A-Family Program runs through the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington. The program matches donors with families in need in order to make their Christmas shine a little brighter. In 2017, with the support of their generous community of donors, they were able to provide Christmas gifts and grocery cards for 1,186 families, which included 2,592 children and youth. Through the efforts of the local community and the East Wellington Community Services, holiday meals were also provided to the families.
Heatherlea’s Harvest Happenings runs rain or shine, from 1 pm to 4 pm on Saturday, October 27th. Admission is complimentary, however donations are kindly requested for the Adopt-A-Family Program.
