Celebrating Headwaters’ Tourism Champions at the

On Wednesday, November 19th, The Hills of Headwaters Tourism Association celebrated excellence in tourism and hospitality at its annual tourism awards ceremony.

Businesses and individuals exemplifying business and customer service excellence, and who help profile the Hills of Headwaters region as one of Ontario’s premier tourism destinations were the evening’s honourees.

Guests braved the blustery cold weather to take in the ceremony which took place at the Dufferin County Museum & Archives, with local historian Mr. Wayne Townsend returning as Master of Ceremonies. Guests were regaled with stories and entertained via a casual and interactive evening of networking, socializing, and celebrating. Festivities kicked off with fantastic taste sensations from some of our region’s finest establishments:

Recognizing the importance of arts and culture in the Hills of Headwaters region, and reinforcing a commitment to supporting business in the Headwaters region, award recipients received a beautiful plaque from Silver Creek Arts Project, the Hills of Headwaters 2013 Artisan of the Year, in honour of their achievements.

The judges from the Ontario Ministry of Tourism and Culture were extremely impressed with the calibre of nominees and finalists, and thanks to the stiff competition, they awarded a tie in one category.
