Mountain Ash Farm Hospitality introduces the Route Champlain Culinary Cycling Tourism Experience for Summer 2019 in Creemore, Ontario. Starting from Sunday June 16 with the final tour on September 21 2019. Upcoming tour dates are Wednesday July 3, Wed July 24, Wed Aug 14, Sun Aug 25, and Sat Sept 21.
A bilingual historic tour of Creemore, honouring the First Nation history and visit by Samuel de Champlain, including option to enjoy an escorted bicycle ride through countryside to an off-grid private riverside maple sugar shack for a six course luncheon and featuring local farm to table seasonal ingredients. Open to non-cyclists as well.
Route Champlain, “Ontario Champlain Scenic Route”, funded by the government of Ontario, is a bilingual tourism trail from Ottawa to Kingston and includes Creemore Ontario as a point of historical interest. Samuel de Champlain explored Ontario on his last great Canadian expedition in 1615-1616. We were moved by the opportunity to contribute to enrich local historical fabric with a presentation to share the story of our area to visitors.
